after market Pully ?
When installing my new engine I chipped the crank pulley so I used an after market pulley while I order a new crank pulley for my h22 [which if anyone has one for sale pm me] at low idle my alternator now does not work but when I bump it up 50 - 100 rpms my volt's jump up to spec . I figure this is because of the smaller crank pully spinning the alternator slower.I just wanted to see if any one else has had this problem?
Yes that is completely normal, it's an under drive pulley. IMO get a stock H22A pulley on there as soon as you can, I never liked those aftermarket pulleys without internal dampners, they can lead to spun main bearings in extreme cases, but for the time being don't sweat it you'll be fine.
I'd like to know, I'm looking into buy a set of pullys for my EG soon too. my crank pully is cracked and I will be replacing all the pullys. you think I will get this same effect after changing the pullys?
