after-market exhaust
I have a few questions about what brand of after-market exhaust i should go for?
1. I know i'm getting a cat-back exhaust system and so far, i found an ideal one for my car. I drive a 98 civic EX coupe and the one i found is an Apexi World Sport cat-back exhaust system. My question is i want to know if i chose a reasonable system as far as horsepower input goes. I want to make sure that i'm getting what i paid for. I've read about a brief description of the system in the company's homepage and what i'm looking, something simple and not too ricy. I also like the fact that it's not BIG compared to other after-market systems. I want to have the system proportionate to the entire body of the car and i think the Apexi is perfect.
2. Second question concerns me about how loud the exhaust is when i rev the engine. I know it's going to be louder than OEM exhuast and right now i still have stock exhaust and the muffler has a hole in it and i brought it in to my dealership and they confirmed that i do have a hole in the muffler. Right now my exhaust is really loud and i dont thats its loud but i can hear the sound all the way inside the car even though i have my windows up and my audio system cranked up. What my question is if i buy the Apexi WS system will it be loud to the point where i can hear it inside the car like how my broken exhaust is?
Any input will be appreciated and if you do have an Apexi World Sport Exhaust installed in your car, tell me what you think of it and if you think if its too loud too? Also if anybody out there have any suggestion for exhaust systems, I might consider them. Thanks!
