aem intake for 98 civic
i ordered a aem cold air intake for my 98 civic ex through options .com they sent me the intake for the 99-00 ex which would not fit on the throttle body or bolt up to the car in the right spot. when i called options they said that the intake for the 98 ex had been discontinued and that the one that i got should work i have tried to call aem tech help but cant get through. my question is: has the intake for the 98 been discontinued if so how do i get the one that they sent me to fit, or is options just pushin me around because they fucked up my order?
Yes aem has discontinued the 98 intake. I have a 98 EX and I have the AEM Cold air for the 99-00 and it fits fine, the only problem is there is a second hold for a sensor on the 99-00 that the 98 doesn't have, just plug this hole.
HEY DO YOU WANT TO TRADE INTAKES WITH ME? I have a 96-98 ex cai on my 00 coupe and it's missing that second hole, which is PISSING me off like crazy. Is yours a cold air or a short ram? Let me know or email me... I just got my intake off my friend, he used it for like 3 weeks and it's been on my car for about a week. NEW filter, minor scratches on the tubing itself but no big deal. I WANT THAT SECOND HOLE!!! I'M TIRED OF RUNNING A BREATHER TO MY CRANKCASE.
shyt u know what? let's just keep it simple and trade the tubing... unless you've alerady dealt with it thru aem tech, but i prefer just str8 up trading if you dont mind. see you could just do what he said and plug up ur second hole, BUT I cannot ADD a second hole on my cai lol. Hit me back up and we'll talk, thanks!
