how to get cold air to a short ram intake on a 98 civic?
I just bought a j's style intake for my 98 civic. I am swapping out my 2.5" aem cai for this and I was wondering if there was any way I could get cold air to the j's intake? I have seen it done before on a 92-95 civic, but not on a 98.

use some clamps a heater hose and run it underneath....
I know the EK don't have that cold air hole usually...but I believe its marks or indented in you ca have that cut out...
EDIT: just read you had a cai...just connect the hose to the front and run it through the same hole your CAI was through......connect that to the bumper near the openning....

i guess i'll just have to try it out once it comes in. The damn company hasn't even sent me a tracking number after like 3 days of already having the order placed.

This isn't a AEM or a J's Intake but the idea is essentially the same. This is off my GF's 98 Ex, I had a PRMRacing Intake from my Bimmer lying around since I sold the car. So i just modified it to fit hers. One of the things that I like bout this intake is that it's kinda like having a heatshield around the filter.
Edit-Dunno how to properly attach a pic so I'll just give you the album website to look for your self.

Re: (Evil_gambit33)
Thanks Evil_Gambit33, how am I suppose to properly attach the pic? I recall that it had something to do with the [img] or something like that.
But yeah, that's a flexpipe that I bought from Autozone, it's decently lengthed and fits right in the CAI hole in your engine bay. And because of the way my filter is, I clamped it straight on to the filter so that her car gets like 90% or better Cold Air. I might either take it off for winter or reroute it to the fender area, right now, there is a giant hold where the fender lining used to be on the back of the bumper, you see directly into it and see the flexpipe route. I guess I missed a few screws lol.

Re: (Knightmare69)
well i'm trying to get cold air to a short ram intake. So i'll probably have to build a heatshield and route some dryer hose down to the bottom through the cai hole.
