Default ADVANCED TIMMING

I HAVE A STOCK CIVIC 2000 SI WITH JUST A COLD-AIR AND
MSD CAP & COIL. HOW MUCH COULD I ADVANCE MY TIMMING BY? SOME SAY NO MORE THEN 3 DEGREES AND OTHERS SAY I SHOULDN'T DO THIS. BUT I NEED MORE INFO ?

From my experience, 18 is about all you want for dialy driving. I think that is 2 more degrees than stock. Once again, you will not really know where the car likes it sat, unless you tune it on a dyno...

my homeboy did that with his 00 civic ex.. all he had was an Intake and muffler.. when he advanced his timming .. he said hes car was running rich.. and he had to put it back

I would just advance it to the max within stock limits...which is usually like 2 degrees over what you have it set at proabably.
