adjusting ebrake from the caliper
anyone know how to adjust the cable from the caliper. I am trying to make the ebrake loose because is really tight. I already loosen the nut under the ebrake handle and is still tight @ 2-3 clicks. i want 3-6 clicks. if I contiue to loosen that nut. is going to fall off. so I got to do some adjustment from the rear.
any suggestion.

Did this just happen for no reason or did you do something to the brakes?
You can't really adjust it back there. If you just put new pads in, maybe you didn't screw the piston in far enough? Otherwise it sounds like maybe the auto-adjusting mechanism in the caliper is screwed up.
Based on my cars, anyway. What car do you have?

do I have to screw the piston on the rear caliper as far back as possible. or just enough to clear the brake bads and able to install the caliper back on is good enough? I changed to new brake pads but only turn the piston just so it clears everything when I put it back on and till it feels tight but I know I could of give it another 2 or 3 turns until is really really hard.
If you screw it in too far, then your handbrake doesn't engage right away. You have to pull up the handle 100 or more times to let the auto-adjuster take up the slack.
Make sure the cable isn't sticking. Then adjust so that when the lever (inside) is down, the lever on the caliper is just about touching it's stop pin. I don't have the Helm book with me now, there's probably some details about how much clearance there should be.
Maybe turn the pistons in another 1/4 turn so there's a little more slack. But if the auto-adjuster is screwed up, it'll just make it tighter & tighter & tighter...

IN MY CASE. WHERE MY EBRAKE IS TOO TIGHT UP FRONT AND THE SELF ADJUSTING NUT IS ALMOST LOOSE. I SHOULD TURN THE CALIPER PISTON INWARD SOME MORE. IS THAT WHAT i SHOULD DO TO LOOSEN UP THE SLACK OF THE CABLE?
It's hard to pull the ebrake right? Do the brakes engage? I only ask this because on my old prelude, my ebrake barely worked and the ebrake was hard as hell to pull up. I always figured that my cable was shot and full of crap.

Are you talking about the nut for adjusting the cable? That nut is insid the console, and there's nothing automatic about it.
But, YES. Turn the caliper piston in, maybe 1/2 turn or something. If the self-adjuster is screwed up, it will eventually make it too tight once again. Then you'll know.

okay. I tackle both sides of the piston yesterday. and one side of the piston. I could turn it inwards and it would never get tight but goes in all the way but you can still turn it and doesn't get hard to turn
the other side .. I can turn the piston back in but it gets really tight once is all the way in and I can't turn anymore..
is the normal piston suppose to keep turning or eventually gets tight that I won't be able to turn it..
