Default ACT PP Post Installation Issue

About 3 years ago before my D16z6 blew up I bought an ACT HDSS for my EH. At first the Pressure Plate felt too stiff compared to the stock Pressure Plate. But after getting used to the effort needed, I grew to love the feedback. Then after the D16 blew, I swapped in a B18c1, the stock clutch felt as stiff, if not stiffer, as my ORGIGINAL D16 pressure plate. But once I replaced the stock B18c1 clutch with an Exedy the clutch pedal felt mushy. I never bothered to look into it, and assumed that it was due to improper bleeding of the clutch line.

After 45k on the Exedy, GLAZED, I went back to the clutch I grew to love, ACT HDSS, which I had just installed this past weekend. With everything in tact and BLEEDING THE CLUTCH WITH THE CAR ON (which I didn’t do for the Exedy install) the PEDAL CONTINUED TO FEEL MUSHY. Why doesn’t the B18C1 ACT HD Pressure Plate feel as stiff as the HD Pressure Plate for my old D16Z6? So goes the process of elimination:

1) Could it be due to improper bleeding?
2) Is either my clutch slave or master cylinder f’d?
3) Or did ACT change the manufacturing of the HD Pressure Plate since 3 years ago?

Did you replace the throw out bearing?

i replaced the throw out bearing when i did the exedy install. Even so, the pedal pressure felt different after the Exedy, w/ new throwout bearing. But answering your "?" i'm using the same bearing that has 45k miles on it, which i showed to a mechanic.
I'm leaning more towards the Slave Cylinder as the problem/ or even the throw out fork. Just to clarify, the Pedal is deffenitely STIFFER then the EXEDY, but what i'm trying to accomplish is get the same STIFFNESS on the pedal as that from my old ACT HD pressure plate that was on my D16z6. wouldn't the Bseries pressure plate be as stiff or stiffer?
