ACT, most will agree with me, the ACT clutches feel a lot better and handle real well.

I like Exedy. They're not rebuilt stock units. The ACT is good but once you go above 9000rpm there's a chance it might fail. Whereas the Exedy is good up to 11-12K rpms. The exedy is also priced pretty good.

Both Clutchs are awesome. I would only go with the ACT since their clutch come complete with, Pilot bearings, throw out bearings, alignment tool as well as pressure plate and disc. Everything you need to get going.

I've seen blown Exedys but never blown ACT's. You couldn't pay me to run an Exedy! Personally, I would go with a Clutchmasters!!

Haha, almost true.... I don't have ANY of the clutches mentioned in this thread! I run a Type-R clutch & drivetrain!

Oh, and I'm not sure exactly what "popped" in the Exedy, but there were lots of metal pieces that shouldn't have been there! My stock GSR clutch DID pop the springs however.

I was looking at the ACT website- it appears that their street disc is actually an Exedy disc- identical to the disc that came with my Exedy organic.

I have had both, toasted 2 ACTs in 6 months, and have had the Exedy for the last year. The ideal setup in my mind is the ACT Xtreme plate and the Exedy full disc...

Hmmm...Exedy clutch for $250?

Everyone always recommends ClutchMasters, especially over ACT. CM is the most expensive so that may be reason enough to go with Exedy.

Good God! 6.5lbs.? That is a light flywheel. I imagine your car will rev pretty quickly.

It already revs too fast being a 1.5 liter. I hope it is more fun.
