Accord Header Question/Opinions needed
I am looking at purchasing an exhaust header for my 96 accord ex. Any advantages of ceramic header vs. Stainless steel besides corrosion?
ceramic does stay cooler than stainless steal but ceramic headers tend to rust. i know a guy who had ceramic header on his b18 and they rusted from weather. so i would go wit the stainless steel. yea they do stain but they dont rust and if u want to make them a lil cooler than u can put thermal wrap around the header pipes
i would go wit stainless steel

Ok thats good to hear, the ceramic ones run a bit pricier to... thanks
and stay with HONDA becuase everything else....just sucks

SS would runs more expensive, 99.9 percents of the time.
why? the material is harder to work with.
SS would would change to brown shitty rainbow color, but header is for performance not bLing bling.
SS would last longer due to the nature of the material.
I picked a ceremic header instead of SS, I wrapped it in header/exhaust wrap, i took them off after two year, not a rust on the header and downpipe.
keep in mind, not rust or the material itself shorten the life of the header, often time is when you hit a pothole deep enough to bent them.
and what's up with the mad honda love thing? dude, how old are you?
if you gonna stick with h0nda then don't mod the car.

Im 16, A lot of my friends give me crap for driving an import. This is my first car but my mom just got a new Ford Windstar like nine months ago and we have had so many problems with it. I have 127k miles on my accord and not a problem with it yet besides the fact that I i hit a curb and bent the lower control arm. But even that was my fault. I love honda basically becuase they make high quality, affordable and well performing car.

i
my honda.
yah get a SS header and heatwrap it. 4-1 headers are better for top end (racing) and 4-2-1 is better for street purpose more bottom end.

Look into a Kamikaze SS header. Its 4-1, has a 2.5" collector, o2 bungs, and is less than $300. Many accord guys with them are happy with their quality and performance. Also look into greddy cause accords guy like them too but theyre a bit more expensive.
