thing prob needs a tune up, you need to be more descriptive of the situation. get a compression test done to at least make sure that crappy 1.5 isnt on its way out.

i rebuilt the engine this last summer. i have the quad spark plug in it (less then a year old) and goin to put the dual bosch. the quads i hear have put holes in some of the pistons. i have been messing with the air fuel screw on the throttle body. but also the car idles up and down low it i run the car hard. i dont know if there is a vacum bad some where or wat. just feels like no power. i dont know if this has anything to do with it but when my heat is on it not really warm but warm. and it smells like gas a little. changed the therm whene i redid the engine. dont know how else to explain on the pc. thanks for ur help

First of all, the screw on the throttle body does not alter the air/fuel ratio. It controls the amount of air that is allowed into the motor when the motor is idle. The fluctuating idle is either a vacuum leak or the idle air control valve (IACV). The IACV is located on the back of the intake manifold and sometimes just needs to be cleaned out or just replace it. Is your car an automatic? Automatic 1.5L's aren't really known for acceleration

yes its an automatic. i replaced the transmission with an ex tranny. ill play with the iac valve. someone told me if u unplug it u set the thottle at a higher rpm. i think it might be idleing to low. i really what to put a stick in it but cant find a honda in my area that i can just take the tranny. thanks for ur help.

get the cam out of a 90-91 Si and you'll get some more power, clean the IACV out with some intake manifold cleaner and report back the results
