ac compressor
I have a 98 civic hatch that came w/ a b17a1 block and b16 head. the ac was almost complete for the exception of a missing hose that goes from the compressor to the rest of the run to the fire wall w/ the condensor line hooked up and all, I bought an si line thinking it would bolt right into the port hole of the compressor and the line is to big, help and ideas will be apreciated
Pretty simple, you need to get the correct line.
Not sure which line you need, one of them runs from the compressor to the condensor, the other runs from the compressor to the reciver, [filter/dryer].
You do know there are two different sized linens on the compressor, the low side line, [bigger of the two] also called the vapor line or suction line and the high side line, [smaller of the two] also called liquid line or discharge line. 94

A/C components will differ from model to model year to year and engine "size", sometimes everything is exactly the same , same evaporator, same condensor, same reciver and same compressor and the only differance is the back plate on the compressor and one or both, [sometimes one assembly] of the compressor hose assemblies.
So the question is, what car/engine did the compressor originally come from and the same question for the receiver.
If all the component's can't be connected together because they are from different systems your least expensive option is to have the hose assembly made/modified.
In your case the only thing that does not fit is the end on the compressor, if you get a hose assembly that fits the compressor end it may not fit the receiver end so the fix is to cut the ferrells off the ends that fit and crimp on new ferrells and hose, sometimes, if hose assembly is long enough, only one end needs to be re-crimped. 94
