ABS sensor output?

ABS sensor output?
Im messing around with the idea of develiping a traction control system for my car and need to know what kind of signal the ABS sensors emit. I think that it is an AC signal that I can run through a diode to turn it into a pulsing DC signal. ANY info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
