Default ABS removal question

I don't understand one thing, I know people take their a/c, and power steering out for understandable reasons like building the motor etc. But why would u take your ABS out? Isnt worse for the brakes? I'm sorry its a newb question and I could never understand why someone would do that.

A lot of drivers use "threshold braking" which is a technique that prevents the brakes from locking up. The ABS systems has a considerable amount of weight to it so naturally it can be a hindrance. Correct threshold braking can actually stop you faster than ABS anyway. ABS removal isn't common and often frowned upon. Basically if your car has ABS just leave it in.
