I just pick up a 92 Integra GS. It's in great shape except the ABS system going a rye. When I break, I feel a strong push and jerk at the very last second before I stop, every time I stop. The ABS light is not on though. The puzzling thing is that when it does come on the car stops fine.

What could it be and about how much would it cost to fix?

Second problem,
When I shift from park into drive the shift handle is very difficult to move and properly get into gear. But once in gear the trans shifts fine.

Is this a problem with the shifting handle or major trans problem. The car is an automatic.

As for the problem with your shifter, it sounds like a linkage problem. Check under the car while somebody is shifting to see if it is binding anywhere on the outside of the tranny. It may be hitting your exhaust or something.
