Default ? about valve cover screws

I over torqued one of my valve cover screws and the bottom part of the long valve cover screw is intacted into the thread of the head. The rest of the long screw came right out. The screw is located on the top left hand side of the head, its the second screw from the top left. How would I go about fixing this? Car is a 98 civic ex d16y8 single cam engine

replace those cam cap bolts. any honda/acura dealership can help you with that.
chances are if you talk to a tech, he can give you some for lunch money.

No, it sounds like the hex part is broken off. Get a screw extractor & the exact drill size that it calls for. Drill a hole carefully into the center of the broken part, tap the extractor in, & twist the broken part out.

If you get a left-handed drill bit (they're not real easy to find) maybe it'll spin out while you're drilling the hole.
