cold start rpm @ 2500 > when it used to be 800 tops
b18c1 mods ( new plugs + wires & header only )

Cold start is 2500? What is it after the engine is hot?

So you are running an idle even hot at 2500?

Get a bucket of water.....and wet your hand...feel around the vaccum hoses....more than likely you have a vaccum leak somewhere.

my car was doing this the other day..
are you getting any codes?

i was getting code 7: Throttle Position Circuit Reading too high, low, short or open, bad TPS

checked the TPS and it was a bit loose.

i got that same thing after i put new plugs, plug wires and smaller 2" custom intake on my del sol, probly because i dont have my vacume line hooked up to my new intake, not shure, i just turned down my idel and put a small filter on my vacume line

I used to have this problem also. Come to find out the IACV's sometimes stick open. I was instructed to take off the IACV, clean it with carb cleaner, and then spray in some WD-40. Haven't had the problem since.
