HELP! 1500 RPM idle.
Hey guys, so i've been reading all the posts I can find about my idle surge and everything everyone has said i have tried just about, i'm trying to see if anyone has any ideas I could try, I have a 2000 Civic EX with a d16y8 with 148k miles on it. I just bought the car, so I pulled a code and it was p0505, I took the IACV out and cleaned it to see if it will fix my problem, no luck at all. So I figured cleaning wasn't enough. I bought a new one and installed it, I had the battery unplugged all night and no change the next morning still running at 1500 rpm. I checked the TPS and it reads perfect, I took off my TB and cleaned it and put a new gasket with it. No luck there, I checked for vacuum leaks and didn't find a thing. So I tried to seafoam the car, no change. I checked the spark plugs and they seem fine, the guy I bought the car from said he just replaced the wires so I didn't bother there. I cleaned the cold air intake filter to make sure it wasn't to bad. I tried to turn the Idle screw all the way down and it didn't do anything either. I also did bleed the cooling system like 3 times now. I guess my engine doesn't have a EGR from what i've been reading and it doesn't have a fast idle screw. I'm sure there's more I have tired I just don't remember anymore. But does anyone have any ideas at all what I can try?

Does the idle surge high and then low repeatedly? If you remove the intake and cover the top of the throttle body with your palm, can you kill the idling engine?

Re: HELP! 1500 RPM idle.
It really doesn't surge, it's just stuck at like 1500 RPM at idle, and I put my palm over the throttle body and it still runs, now when i take my other hand and block off the vacuum line connected the the cold air intake then it dies. EDIT: after I cleaned the TB and turned the car back on there was a check engine light on, the codes were p0505 p1399 and again for some reason p0505.

This is a link to the pictures you asked for, this was the only way I could post it for some reason. It's the vacuum line with the blue fitting around it. and the second picture is where it leads too.

What is the FIA and IM? sorry to be asking that. So your saying i just need to reroute the bypass and plug it into the right area? You wouldn't happen to have a diagram or pictures to kinda give me a idea?

ehh, looking at the diagram you posted it looks like from the stock intake the vacuum hose goes into the I think is said RA control valve. Or am I blind and that says something completely different? EDIT: annnnnd yeah im blind.... that said FIA valve....happen to know what that looks like? so sorry.
