a1000/10 micron filter

Sup guys
So I just received my external pump (a1000)
I heard I have to weld this thing on there?....
Also what size fuel line should I run all the way to my fuel rail.
I also heard stainless steel braided lines have a lot of fumes....

Need some help I want to get this thing on there ASAP.
