99 civic LX ecu code
Wife's civic spit out cel code 90. I've searched archives and other sites find that it is "Evaporative Emission Control System leak..."on cars upto a '98 .
Are the codes the same for a '99?
Thanks in advance for the help

it is on my 99 accord, So i'm gonna assume that its the same for the civic.
check and make sure the gas cap is on tight, thats the most common cause of that code getting thrown

Thanks for the response.
I had originaly posted this question on the EG+ forum and had no response. I figured that the gas cap thing would be the easiest and quickest fix and would do no harm if I was wrong.
I reset the CEL Sunday night, removed and replaced the gas cap, it hasn't tripped yet.
Any sites with the CEL codes for 99-00 Civics?
Thanks again.

If it comes back, something else to think about...
"Evaporative Emission Control System leak..." is about the charcoal canister (EVAP system) along with its hoses & valves. Its probably different but our '98 Accord has a different CEL code for vacuum in the gas tank, vs. vacuum in the EVAP system. Also the Accord won't throw a CEL until it starts several times with the fault. So it may still come back on...
