Earlier I posted a question about using a 98 civic ex engine in my 2000 ex. I state again this is my first Honda but I have worked on GM's a little. The issue I'm having now is I'm not sure if I need to use the head off the 2000 or just the the intake. I was told to use the intake and exhaust manifold but the port holes on the 98 head looks a little different. A friend of mine is telling me to use the intake gasket for the 98 but on my first post I was suggested to use the 99-00 gasket. So I'm at a stand still right now any help is surely appreciated.

 

Continue from the other thread so everyone knows the history. When you start new threads that are clearly a continuation of previous issues all you manage to do is fraction the solution and garner repeat and ineffective responses. You were told to get specific manifolds by some knowledgeable people. If you needed anything other than what they told you they're answers would have indicated that. If you were unsure a Google search would have clarified things.

 

I actually did a Google search and some sites suggested to use the 99-00 gasket and 1 or 2 suggested use the head off the 2000. I used the gasket and it worked out fine. The engine is in and running great, thanks for responding
