We just installed a used automatic tranny in a 97 prelude and filled it with oil and it started but when we test drove it it stopped running so we had to push it home. We checked everything and when we checked the fluid level to our suprise it was a pinkish color, not red. we put 5 quarts of oil in it when we filled it up. Anyone have any ideas on why it is pinkish in color??

Pinkish? Are you sure its not red? How clean was the tranny? Did it look brandnew? Alot of times when you but a used tranny they will clean it real good to make it look nice and water gets inside? Maybe??
