aiight i recently purchases a 96 EX and also a y8 head for the mini me swap

been reading on it and have a quick question...will the y7 dizzy work with a y8 head???

i've heard it does and dont...just need to know before i start ripping apart and replacing if im gonna need a dizzy to go with the build or is the y7 dizzy fine


i know the EX is originally a y8 car

whoever had it swapped in a y7 didnt change harnesses or ecu
and now it cuts out at 5500rpms which is normal for a vtec malfunction
im not sure if the dizzy is a y8 or y7 dizzy
(if u know how to tell which is which please let me know so i can look)

other then that the question is

will a y7 dizzy bolt up and be fine with a vtec head like the y8??

y7 and y8 distributors are the same. obd2b ones are diff obviously.
