93 Civic hesitation
My 93 Civic 1.5 has developed a bad hesitation.
When I start the car in the morning it runs great for the first 5 minutes. Then the hesitation starts. The car bogs and spits, and farts. If I keep my foot into it, it appears to "clear up" and the power kicks in.
Is there a cold start type valve/sensor that might have gone bad?
Or any other ideas?
Thanks

Re: 93 Civic hesitation (EPrepCivic)
How old are your spark plugs mileage-wise? My 97 DX also had a similiar hesitation also at part throttle and it felt real screwy at highway speeds. If i hit the gas harder, it cleared itself up. I swapped out the cap, rotor, and plugs and it is gone. If this isnt the case, try swapping for a new fuel filter. Thid is allbasic maintenance anyhow.

Re: 93 Civic hesitation (97civicdx)
I thought about that also. But wasn't sure, since the car drives fine when it's cold.
I guess I should start there though.
thanks

you should do all of the basic maintenence on it , cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter. and then see if it is still there. i had the same problem. it was the fuel filter it was nasty broke it open had like chocalate inside.
