I have a 93 civic hatch i recently changed the fuel filter on. now on of the metal fuel line on the right where it bolts in is shooting fuel out inbetween the bolt and pipe whenever i try and start it not sure why or how. It has no problem and filled the filter with the gas but just keeps shooting it out and no idea why. Anyone had this problem before or a solution for this? Thank you!

 

Your not getting a seal at the connection, you may have X treaded it, or your missing the seal/washer. 94

I had a similar problem with a 99 Toyota solora, and it was the filter. The sealing surface for the flared end of the hard line wouldn't seal because the filter was not made correctly.
