92 civic clutch
had a clutch installed, throw out bearing, plate.... it doesnt engage sometimes in 1st like the disk keeps spinnig and doesnt engage they sadi my slave cylinder was bad but who knows... i want to try and bleed my lines need to know how though
Get a repair manual.
The clutch bleeder valve is the little nipple sticking out the front of the slave cylinder on the tranny.
1) Press in on the clutch
2) open the valve
3) let the air out
4) close the valve
5) and let out on the clutch
6) make sure that the valve is closed before letting out on the pedal, as it will suck air in and you'll have to do it all over again.
It takes 2 people, or you and a board wedged against the seat and pedal.
If your master cylinder is leaking, get a new one. It will only get worse until it becomes impossible to disengage the clutch.
If it's the slave leaking, it has soaked the clutch, causing it to slip. The clutch is now ruined and time for a new one.
