91 accord a/c conversion into 2000 civic
hey guys i have an 91 accord that i might just sell for parts. Is their a way i can the a/c accessories from the accord into a 2000 civic that doesn't have air conditioning ?
Anything is possible, however the amount of custom work to get the A/C system from a 91 Accord to fit a 2000 Civic is not worth it.
Starting with the fact that the 91 Accord system is a R12 system and you need a R134a system, then there is the "fitment" issue, although you could make custom brackets to mount the compressor, condensor and accumulator, you may even get the lines to fit, it is unlikely the evaporator will fit.
Also when retrofitting from R12 to R134a you need to replace the accumulator and unless replaced with a 91 Accord one, it is unlikely the lines will fit.
If you are going to go through the trouble, find a 2000 Civic with A/C at a Pick&Pull. 94
