Default 90 integra wont start??

car ran and drove fine before it was parked for a few mths.
the car just turns over. already changed the main relay with a new one and battery.

the car has a working aftermarket alarm and ive checked all the fuses which are good.

what else can i check?? and is there a way to check the fuel pump direct?

Hi. Have you pulled a spark plug wire to actually test the spark? A cheap spark tester is usually less than $5, or you can do it the old-fashioned way of sticking a plug into the wire and laying it against something metal on the engine...when you crank the motor, you should see spark.

Turn the key to the "on" position and listen for a buzzing for about 2 seconds.. if you hear it then pump is fine and priming. If not check fuses and relay.

all fuses are fine/main relay is brand new/cap rotor brand new/batt new/check plugs and there good

i even tested the pump direct with my battey charger. im stumped because the car was running fine before parked.

Sounds like a bad igniter.... or module... test to see if you have power coming into the dizzy..... just search the forums for dizzy test guide. It will walk you through the process step by step... and which wires are which. I just cant remember all of this stuff for so many different engines... lol

Also check for power at IGP1 and IGP2 at the ECU/ECM with ign. switch in both the run and start positions, [run and start positions also applies to power to distributor].

If powers are good, as mentioned, check ICM, [igniter] and coil. 94

Dont buy anything until you know what you need... otherwise youll end up spending lots of money and you wont solve your problem.... test test test. There are many things that can cause your problem... only 1 of them is acctually whats causing it... diagnose and test to find the one that is the cause and then thats the one you buy and replace..

Test ignition system at the ecu. Send ronj@ht a pm, he can tell ya which wires they are are. My pc is in the middle of being rebuilt so i dont have my schematics avail... you want to test ignition sys leads and then of course the ecu itself... ronj is a great guy and im pretty sure he has a schemaric handy and can tell ya which pins/ wires you should be testing...... did you clean and tighten all grounds yet? (Dont assume they are good make sure)

One more thing did you check mechanical timing? Is the rotor under the cap actually turning?

You know how I tested a distributor to make sure it worked? Take it off the car, plug it into the harness, throw a set of wires and plugs on it (grounded plugs on the valve cover) disconnected my resistor box to ensure I didnt spray fuel. Turned the ignition switch to run, then rotated the distributor shaft by hand. Got a nice steady spark spark spark as it rotated.

I didnt wanna hook everything up and have the car fail to start with no obvious indicators of the issue. And I had cit the obd1 plugs off and swapped them to obd0 plugs for my obd0-obd1 swap. (It makes going back to stock easier just in case something happens)

my moneys on a coil or ignitor. also check the small wire in the distributor going from the coil to ignitor. seem it corrode apart before. honestly i never figured out a way to narrow it down further from a coil and/or ignitor going bad, without swapping parts. i mean theres no codes for them, and i don't think there's really a way to test either with a meter.

actually yea, i think you should be able to test the coil somehow with a multimeter. anyone know for sure?
