'85 Accord blinker issue
Okay, I have serious road rage, so after I pulled this car out of the weeds it had been sitting in for two years, I had to install a horn. Been driving it since May without one. So I removed the bumper and installed a factory replacement disk horn, both high and low. Once I put the bumper back on, I noticed that the front right side marker doesn't work.
Now, when I first turn the lights on, they all come on. That's how I was deceived when I tested the lights before and after replacing the bumper. But when I turn on the right blinker, the side marker turns off and the arrow on the instrument panel blinks fast. The blinker stays on. I'm not entirely sure of the proper names for these lights, but the one that is more on the side of the car I will refer to as the side marker. The elongated light on the front of the bumper will be called the blinker.
The bulb is fine, and all fuses are fine. When I turn on the hazards, neither of the front two lights on the right side comes on, though the lights on the left side all work fine.
I'm thinking it may be a bad relay, possibly? If so, how do I diagnose it? Also, if you can help me sort out turn signals from side markers, that would be very helpful. I have the Haynes manual that graphs the relays, but I don't know which is which.
Also, the only lights I unplugged in the process of installing the horn were the blinkers. Didn't touch the side marker connectors.
I would really appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks ahead of time, and bear with me on my replies. I work a lot.
