Default 7.5A Electric Impact Gun

# 7.5A motor
# Rated 228 lb/ft. of torque
# 2,700 bpm, 2,100 rpm
# Die cast magnesium gear housing
# Hardened hammer plate
# ½" square drive

it can't remove my wheel lug nut, even my breaker bar works even better than this
I thought i purchased a defective one, so I replace it with another one.
Same thing happen to me again

Is there anyway that I can boost the torque up?

Ditto that^^^

Have had one for years, never had a problem, because I autocross my daily driver air or electric, [have both] are not an option 99.9% of the time, and putting my Yokohama 032Rs on at the shop and then driving to the race and then back to the shop is also not an option.

The Snap On 18V will remove my street tiers on 4 bolt TSW rims, [90ftlb] and the 4 032Rs on steel rims, [110ftlb] at least twice, [2day race weekends] on a fully charged batt., and put them on, [torque is set with a torque wrench] without any problem.
The only time I have had to use my 2nd batt. was at a meet where the impact was used to swap tires on 9 other cars. 94

i have the same MC electric impact gun...if that can't remove your wheel nuts then they are over tightened. yes the gun sucks for most applications but it should remove all wheel nuts.

i don't really use it anymore since i have air powered tools but the gun is capable of removing wheel nuts properly torqued down.

I used my MC torque wrench to tighten it to 80lbft in X-star pattern, but the next time I remove my wheel..

the impact gun just sux that it can't even remove ANY of them..

There is something wrong with the impact gun if it can't remove lug nuts that are torqued to 80lb, or your torque wrench needs a recalibration. 94

I have the Dewalt mini Lithium impact now (http://www.dewalt.com/us/products/to...roductID=19416) and it rocks.

I had the older version of it for 5 years before, and it was awesome as well. I often changed 3-4 sets of wheels and tires for autocross both on and off in the same day/charge, and never ran out of battery. This new one is rated for 145 ft/lbs and I believe it. I use it in the garage for working on the car, and it does about 90% of what I need. There are for sure some bolts that need the power bar to loosen, but anything that I tighten with a wrench/ratchet will come off with this. It's small and light, so it will go into many places that a regular 1/2 drive air or electric impact won't fit.

Electric sucks.

A buddy just bought a Snap-on, $460.00 it would not remove two out of 4 lugs on his wheels on his R32.

I guess these things may work if your working on a race car where things don't have chance to rust in place.

I've been telling him for a few years to buy the black Craftsman air compressor. I had to ask how he liked his Snap-On electric impact gun. He mumbled something about, I should have bought the air compressor.

LOL, I have used my 3/4" air impact on some rusted on wheel lug nuts and not been able to remove them, sometimes a breaker bar is the only way, sometimes a 3 foot piece of pipe added to the breaker bar is needed, sometimes lug-nuts are seized on so bad all they do is sheer off the stud.

As mentioned an electric or air is not practical, [no place to plug the impact or compressor in] so the cordless is the only way to go. 94

Ive got a 3/8 14.4 cornwell cordless that I love. I dont use it all the time, and I dont use it for shop work. But when I take that thing to the junk yard or messing around in the garage at home I love it. It breaks all kinds of **** loose, hell it got that frozen *** block plug on the back out with no problem, and the front for that matter.

Plus it only cost me 60$ I love ebay sometimes they usually go for around 150$ on ebay

i like chicago pneumatic. i got a 3/8 drive with 1/2 drive internals in it, it is baaadd ****. i also use ingersoll rand. nice for the price. i'd like to get a cordless one, but i'm afraid it'd be a waste of money for me, i'd never use it i don't think.
