Default 5 speed conversion in a EG

my buddy has a 92 hatch that he got thats an automatic...currently we are just doin a 5 speed conversion to the stock motor but we are runnin into a little hang up. the upper tranny mount in the auto engine bay sits higher than the manual one. im talkin the actual welded bracket on the wall. do they make any kind of kits or anything to do thhis conversion and makee the motor sit even???or has anyone done it before and have some rigged thing they did to make it sit right??? please let me know asap

there are 2 ways to do it
one is to reweld the mounts forward about 1 1/2 inch
2 is to buy an auto to manual mount from place racing or hasport.

I know that placeracing sells a weld on bracket for that, but thats it. You still gotta find a pedal and all that good junk.

same exact thing happened to me. you could drive it easy to a place to custom weld you a new bracket.
