5 speed conversion in a EG
my buddy has a 92 hatch that he got thats an automatic...currently we are just doin a 5 speed conversion to the stock motor but we are runnin into a little hang up. the upper tranny mount in the auto engine bay sits higher than the manual one. im talkin the actual welded bracket on the wall. do they make any kind of kits or anything to do thhis conversion and makee the motor sit even???or has anyone done it before and have some rigged thing they did to make it sit right??? please let me know asap
there are 2 ways to do it
one is to reweld the mounts forward about 1 1/2 inch
2 is to buy an auto to manual mount from place racing or hasport.

hasport only has a listing for cable to hydro conversion on thier website unless i missed it somewhereand i didnt see anything on place racing either but i might not have been lookin in the right place so if its on there can u post me a link???

i wouldnt run it too much without that upper tranny mount. my friend did it and his tranny went bad
the car is just kind of a toy for me and my buddy that we mess around with so if something breaks its no big deal...we'll just throw a real swap in it
