Dont worry pirate these people are morons. Ive already read a few articles on the "twin" hayabusa engines. Awesome, awesome idea with a VERY enviable powerband.

this is truly a amazing combination...
at 147hp per liter it blows most honda motors away.
how many 2.0 honda motors you see puttin out 294ish at the crank?
i guess thats not too great cuz its a v8

First off i will say that is bad *** and very impressive but before you start bashing hondas

The HONDA RC51 race bikes make 175 horsepower out of a 999cc motor.
So i guess that would mean honda is making 175 horsepower per liter????

none the less... thats really cool but dont say it "blows most honda motors away"

so if i made a 500cc V8, and it only made 120hp, then its weak?....

seeing as you could fit that 2.6L motor into our engine bays is amazing. now getting a tranny to fit would be another thing.

Another thing about it not really being a Honda...
By the time that some of these people are done building their engines there is almost nothing left that really makes it a "honda".

After aftermarket sleeves, rods, pistons, cranks, bearings, valves, cams, gears, springs, plugs, pullies, IMs, headers, exhaust, LSD, axles, FDs, and shitloads of headwork then what really is so "Honda" about the technology in their engine.

Swap that V8 into a crx and then these thugs will rave when it makes 10 sec NA Honda passes.

I figured it was far more interesting than the fluff about cup holders and tripple-decker wings you get in all the other forums.

Pirate</TD></TR></TABLE>

i understand you completely.

then again this subject is very two sided.

edit: imagine that thing in a go-kart.
i bet you could mate a trans to this and still have it fit in a crx.

of course with $$$$$$, anything is feasible.

you guys are using v8 here in the wrong sense, the reason you all lose to most v8 cars you run into is because they are 3 times the size of your motor....

this motor is only 2.6 liter, thats all you really need to consider.....

and chopsuey, you can stick your worthless comments up your ***, pirate is one of our best contributing h-t'ers.....
to pirate
to your gay *** chopsuey

That is one bad **** motor. Read about it in Sport Compact Car a few months back. The company that did it is out of England. They had it all done up with a custom tranny and everything. I remember reading about the revs on it and being reminded of some rather extreme NA 13B rotory motors that I had the pleasure seeing first hand.

And as a side bar: to those who are ******* that motor because it didn't come from Honda and are typing up this whole "HoNd@ OwNz JoO!" garbage and "if it ain't Honda, it ain't $&!#" nonsense, I honestly hope you are joking. If not, then come back and post something useful when your ********* decide to drop and you stop shopping at PepBoys for your "performance parts" on your Kia Sephia because daddy wouldn't buy you that used Civic DX with the Samuri-Ninja-Katana-Excalibur body kit and park bench/rear spoiler you so had your eye on. A feat of inginuity is a feat of inginuity irreguardless of where it came from or who did it. This is why this board has, to myself and many others, become a fetid cesspool of ignorance. It becomes an arduous task to wade through the many "Hey, what kind of horsepower numbers can I make with this setup" threads, even though there clearly is a rule posted AGAINST that, to find the very few nuggets of real, useable, informative dialog. Even then, it is posted by the same few people everytime. Here is a tip: just because you have a broadband Internet connection doesn't mean you have to share your high speed stupidity with the rest of the planet.
