Default 3500 rev limited b16

I bought a b16 swap to put in my 90 crx and it is finally in. the car ran great for a while then for some reason the car didnt want to rev above the rev limited 3500. i looked on the ecu and there are 2 codes. one is the idle air control valve and the other is the crank angle sensor. i attempted to fix the crank angle sensor by changing the distributor but that did nothing and from what i have read the idle air control valve wouldnt do that. i also saw someone say the primary o2 sensor might do that. can somebody please help this thing is driving me crazy!

hey man good work posting it up on HT

if your mechanic cant find the timing marks find a new mechanic

they are located on the two cams, each one has a dot on them. you need to line those up

Check your timing and correct it if needed. Then reset the ECU and you should be fine. Its not letting you go past 3500rpm because you are in "limp mode"/safe mode.
