Default 3 stage vtec o2 issue

Problem: I keep getting a check engine code for o2 even after trying several new sensors. I have the single wire o2 and the wired part is I can reset the ecu turn the key (not start the car) and it gets the code.
It's a 93 civic AT DX body the engine is a 96 d15b with the Jim manual tranny and to put it together I have p2j-003
I have tried sensors, ground wires, running my own wire, cleaning the contact of the sensor, and there is no exhaust leak. I'm lost and I tried looking through forums and forums so please don't say I should look first. I'm so frustrated on this three year project. Ow I have a obd1-obd2 Rywire jumper for the ecu

How do you know you have you exhaust leak ? Normally you can not feel or see an exhaust leak unless you use something that will smoke such as seafoam. Seafoam your motor while looking for white smoke billowing out anywhere from the exhaust manifold gasket to the oxygen sensor. Most people think they don't have one because they think they can't feel the smoke but it's there.

If you're certain the wiring is fine and the sensor is new and you still got the code it would be best to check for an exhaust leak.

i have had a past obd1 honda that always gave me a o2 code and i finally tracked down to a bad IAT sensor (white or black sensor in front of intake manifold). You have to remember the o2 is only reading/reacting to what is upstream of the o2. 90% of o2 codes i have seen were NOT o2 related but something else

I will definitely look into that. I didn't look at it that way. The only part that still has me boggled is it throws the code before I even start the engine????

I previously have cleaned the throttle body and intake ports. Now I tried swapping the tps, map, iait, purge solenoid, and egr. Still no progress. Could someone go out to there car that has a single wire o2 disconnect it turn the key without starting it and see if their car thrown that code? With all things considered I still find it strange I don't even have to start the car and I get the code.
