I just hooked up a 3 bar map sensor in my friends b18. when we started the car it just dies out instantly. i checked voltage at the maps signal and ground and got a perfect 1.56volts. Now i had the 3 bars vaccum line tee'd into the fuel press. reg. vac. line.and it jus dies out unless i disconnect the vac. line from the tee. can some one help me out.

 

See of you can give the map it's own vac source. The fpr is probably interfering with the consistant vac that the map needs.

 

is your chip setup to read a 3bar?

that happened to me once too, the chip was never setup for 3bar, the car didn't even start. so i just hooked up the stock one until i got the car tuned.
