Default 250WHP from a B18B

Aight fellas here's the deal, I got a smokin' B18B in my engine bay right now and I wanna get as close to 250WHP (idealy 300WHP) while keeping it street legal. What do you guys think is the most cost efficient and reliable way to go about doing this? (All Motor, Turbo, Super, NAWS!)

Easiest and most cost efficient = Nitrous, of course if you run that much nitrous, you'll have little bits and pieces of b18b laying all over the place in a week or so.

Most reliable = probably a turbo with a good bit of engine work. Definately some stronger rods and forged pistons.

Turbo, but you wont be street legal

Also you dont need pistons and rods to make 250 whp. You can make 250 w/ a solid turbo kit, hondata/bigger injectors and 10 psi. Walk in the park, and reliable as your tuner

Do a search in FI, amazing things are happenings these days because of standalones and tuners, dont listen to all these poeple who say you need pistons and rods, besides why waste a goos stock motor.

Just for reference

Direp972 made 274/240 hondata/ls/stock motor 12 psi
4u2nv made 280/240 hondata/ls/stock motor 10 psi
Hybridcivicls-T made 265/2?? hondata/ls/stock motor 11 psi w/boost leak
Espanol made 29x/242 hondata/ls/stock motor 11 psi

These are all local friends/members, all these motors have lasted reliably and raced religiously, you can't argue when it's been proven.

Ill be the next to join the bandwagon, im aiming for 280/240 on 12psi, well find out in january though

Well your turbo sizing will depend on how much power, you want to make, how quickly you want to reach full boost, some peopole like quick spoooling turbos, but others prefer power which comes up top. Turbo sizing is very important so it shoudn't be rushed. For your power goals 250-300 a nice t3/t04e woudl be good, Its what comes with most kits these days and a very popluar turbo for the average street car. Im running a precision sc34, I love it.

As far as inspections i got mine done the day before my turbo install, so Im good until next august , but yes you woudl have to remove turbo/manifold/downpipe/wastegate and slap on a header and cat. Or the simple way woudl be to just have a hookup, but those aren't the easiest to find if you have no connections
