Hey:

I am new to this forum...mainly for two reasons...

1) Because I own three Hondas.....and

2) I need some technical expertise/advice from you all....

My problem...I just bought a used 2006 Honda Pilot from Annapolis Honda...it came with a Certified Honda warranty...and the check engine light "all of a sudden" is coming on....

The vehicle is sitting at another Honda dealer...right now...the service manager says the following:

The error codes say "Random Misfire"...the service manager says this is common if this vehicle sits for a while because gas can "drip" into the cylinder

so he cleared the error codes and is telling us that if it happens again we should bring it in again so they can see what the error codes say...

I asked him if he had any TSB's on this problem...or ANYTHING in writing and he said "no"....he just said he knew this for "experience"

does any of this sound right...

I'm hoping that this so-called Honda Certified Warranty will pick up the tab on this problem...whatever it turns out to be...
