2003 acura tl a/c heating help.
So my a/c and heating went out about two months ago. My a/c stopped working totally. Nothing works. I took it to a shop and they said to change the blower motor resistor. I bought it at an acura dealer for 62.xx. Installed the new one and nothing works. Can any one help?
it would be nice if you describe your problem with more detail, sound like your blower motor is not coming on at all?
Even with a bad blower motor resistor, it should work on high setting

so about couple months ago i turned on my a/c and was working fine. Then i turned off my car to do something. Turned the car back on and everything stopped working. I turn on the a/c and the fans start moving but stops after a couple of secs. No cold air or heated air comes out. I replaced the blower motor resistor and still nothing. No air or heat nothing.
The shop said they only checked the basic part of the system and will charge me a 100 to check the rest.

I would check the blower motor itself, or the control head, [climate controls] specifically the blower motor speed control switch.
For the A/C to work, [A/C compressor to turn on] blower motor switch must work.
Try this, turn blower switch to any speed, turn A/C on, check and see if compressor engages, if not my guess is you have a problem at the blower switch.
I will have to pull a schematic for the heater/air conditioning system to suggest other tests to narrow down the problem.
The blower motor should be easy enough to test, there are only 2 leads, one will be power, [ign. in run] the other is the ground, confirm you have power to the motor then supply a ground, [jumper lead from chassis ground point] if blower motor works leave jumper in place and try the heat and A/C, if heat and A/C work, [back-feeding ground] then problem is the control head, [blower speed switch], even if heat and A/C do not work the problem may still be the switch, back-feeding the ground is not getting back far enough or is diode protected. 94
