IF I GET NEW PISTONS FOR MY CAR DO I need NEW RODS? ANY BORE OUT STORIES OR SUGGESTIONS

why bother? what are your plans or problems with the motor? are you upgrading cams? are the rings shot? FYI: you do not need to bore every time you put in new rings or pistons.

Check your bore before you throw new pistons in there, the clearance needs to be done right, or else your power and new pistons will suffer. If your piston to wall clearance is greater than .002" a rebore will be needed.

The rods will not have to be replaced provided they are in good shape. You can have them checked for out of round and straightness if they are high mileage at a machine shop.
