2000 Civic SI sitting for 2 years
I have a 2000 Civic SI that has been sitting around my house for 2 years. I'm in the military and want to get it running again so I can be able to drive. What things should I do to it to make sure it runs properly?
a tune up of course change the oil & oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, if there was gas left in it witch u shouldn't have drain it out there is a drain plug on the bottom of the gas tank.. other then that probably need to charge the battery and it should be good to go
As said.
Some people has pour some marvel mystery oil down the spark plug and let it sit for some hrs then hand crank the motor over a few times.
Basically just luring up the cylinder for being started since all the oil had drain to the pan.

If it was running properly prior to it sitting all those years I say a oil change is all unless the car did need a tune up or mehanical service before you left.
My car sits all winter long and I only drive it a few times a year and oil change is all I do.

honestly 2 year is really nothing.
I had my car stored for 8yrs.
I wouldn't worry about bad fuel oil oil or anything.
Some of the issues which can come have been a seized alt pulley from sitting so long and having tension on it with out any rotation.
