Default 2 Simple questions for you Engine Buffs!!

Hey guys, I have two things to ask of you. First, what is the torque specs on the cam gear bolts for a b17 engine. My manual said 27 ft/lbs, but that seemed a little light. Also, when replacing a timing tensioner, what do u guys look for to line it up. Do you replace the belt and use the tensioner to get it relatively tight? And what do I torque the bolt to on the timing tensioner. IF anyone out there can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Once again this is a B17 Engine out of a 92 GSR. Thanks

Really people say that the specs are different from the year change... ie the 1st Gen B16A to todays 99-2000 Si but I don't really go by it.. We've had this debate about the cam caps and rail bolts.... Anyways I torque DOHC VTEC motors cam gears to 37ft/lbs and nonVTEC (B18A/B B20B/Z) to 27ft/lbs.. That's the correct spec for all the newer motors and you'll be fine with that.. Peace
EDIT: Damn Baonest you got that up fast, well you can go by that spec if you want but i still do 37... 40 is correct for the tensioner.... I guess that's never changed over time...
