2" to 2.25" Cat to Exhaust

This direct fit cat has an outlet diameter of 2" and my exhaust has an inlet diameter of 2.25". Currently on my car there is already a direct fit cat but I don't know if the outlet is 2" or 2.25". Do you think if I got a direct fit catalytic converter it would bolt right up even though there is a change in diameter or would I have to modify it? The cat that I have now came with the exhaust when I bought it off CL so I don't know where the previous owner got it.
Do you think this would work for me? Or if not is there a flange adapter I could put between the two?
