Default 2.0l b16 possible?

whats the biggest displacement I could get out of a b16? (resleeved of course) and what kind of bore would I be looking at to accomplish this or atleast close to it. Thanks any additional information about this topic that I didnt ask would be great!

Lessee here. If you were to bore to the max(86mm) then you'd get to 1.8l(1789cc). If you then swapped the crank & rods to B17 parts you'd be at 1.9l(1898cc). A B18c crank would put you at 2l(2026cc), but the engine would have ugly ugly geometry. I'd say stick with sleeving and then if you want a bit more torque locate a B17 crank & rods set. There's an interesting write-up on this very setup at:

Would a B18C crank work with the lower B16A deck height? Maybe you can look for a cheap B18A/B block to sleeve, since an 84mm bore on one of those will put you at 2.0L. Or maybe a blown B18C, or a B18C with an LS crank/rods

Yeah with custom rods. I wouldn't care for the resulting r/s ratio, but Crower even makes an 89mm stroker kit for the B16. Now that seems like it'd be really ugly. Since the original question was specifically in regards to the B16 I limited my response to that block.

I had a discussion with allmotorb20vtec just the other day. He says he has a b16 with an LS crank. Didn't comment on bore size however. He did imply that it wasn't very reliable, as you'd expect given the piston side loading.

u can go for 87mm bore and 95mm stroke which is increase ur displacement to 2.26L. This spec you can buy it from CROWER. But need sleevings. U can sleeves ur blocks at Golden eagles. Hope u enjoy with its power.

I dunno, I dont wanna do a stroker kit because people say there really unreliable and since my car will be raced probly once a week at the local track. I need reliablility for the drag racing AND enjoying my car on the weekeneds. No its not my daily driver but I still like to enjoy my car on the weekends.

You won't get to 2.0l w/ a b16 w/o stroking. Converting your engine to a b17 w/ the parts I mentioned prevously increases stroke from 77 to 81.4mm. This retains a r/s ratio of 1.625:1 which is still higher than a B18c at 1.58:1. This setup combined w/ 86mm bore is the max displacement you can reasonably squeeze from a daily driven b16 w/o killing reliability.
