1999 civic window washer
hey, there is probably an easy answer to this but i live in the chicago land area of Illinois and it is getting a bit cold here. the other day i thought my window washer was freezing as i was not coming out of the nozzles but now im noticing that im not even hearing anything actuating or turning on. im ssuming there is a motor that pumps it out through the nozzles. the fuse for the wipers is still there. can someone direct me in the right directiong, im not finding anything when searching and its gets dangerous if my windshield isnt clean. thanks for any help.

i would start by checking for ground and power at the fluid pump/motor when the switch is "on." it's inside the bumper just inside the driver's wheel well.
i presume you'll find a lack of 12v or ground. check the fuse and visually inspect the wire for damage or shorting. check for power at the combo switch.
the little pump/motors don't typically fail unless something other than liquid is run through them... that's why i suggest testing the rest of the circuit to find the break.

today warmed up a lil and it seems to be working now. i guess it froze. the fuse was still good but i got no humming sound so i thought it was bad. i didnt think this stuff could freeze at such a temp
