will start and run on alittle starter fluid

Then it is clearly fuel related. Take off the fuel feed line and have a buddy turn the key. If no fuel comes out, then you have fuel pump problems. If fuel spits out like crazy, then it is an injector problem.

Be very careful as that fuel could ignite on a hot exhaust.
