Try running open header and slicks, and don't run "full interior" . Otherwise, internal work and dyno tuning.

Actually, you get an incredible improvement when you strip your car. All that foam and plastic weighs a lot when you add it up. There are also seats, mats, interior trim, sound components, dash, etc. If you're serious about breaking 13's, strip your car like a cheap *****, drop your exhaust from the header-back, get some slicks and run octane booster. I'm sure you'll make it happen.

edit: spelling, grrrrr...

octane booster is bad. causes carbon buildup on valves and other bad things.

Open header?! He'll lose all his torque...and power in general for that matter. I don't know about you guys, but when my friend ran open header on his way to Meineke to get something welded, the car was a dog

yeah you'll lose most of your lowend, but usually gain top end. and in dragging you don't need lowend, except in 1st gear. if running open header you'll see a bit more gain from adding a 2 ft pipe after the header to induce scavenging effect.

Where exactly did you hear/ find this tidbit of info? SO, basicly you saying because I run higer octane (93) im going to have carbon build up? Do you know where carbon build up comes from ? Thats right, normal every day combustion. Go figure. Hell my car runs so rich I probably have a half of an inch of carbon build up on my pistons by now since I have been running 93 octane for so long. Im sure if you use the $1.99 bottle of octane booster in your fuel it wont be the best for it.
Haha whatever you want to think is good enough for you.

i didn't say higher octane. i said octane boost. there is a difference. do you know what's in octane boost? neither do i. it's not regulated by any organization so they could just take a **** in there and sell you a bottle. but pump gas IS regulated. a higher octane just reduces the risk of detonation. and yes it will give you more power if your setup deems a higher octane necessary. say if you have a stock LS then it's not worth wasting money on the good stuff.

more info is here: great gasoline debate

If you don't want to strip the interior, go with the internal work and tuning.
What is your budget? If you have big bucks to spend, sleeve the motor and run big bores, and slap some high compression pistons in there (12-13:1). Get the head ported by a pro and get yourself some big cams.A big header with a 2 1/2 " collector and a 2 1/2" exhaust. Get a standalone and tune, tune, tune. Add some lightweight drag racing wheels and slicks and you should hit 13's no problem.
