Default 11.1 compression

i am running 11.1 compression will i have any problems with pinging or anything else. i live in the northeast and i use 93 and94 octain but since we have cold winters they put preservatives in the gas in the winter. will this effect my mtor.

Wont be a prob at all, im sure lots of cars in your area run even higer compression...IE, S2000...

With 93-94 oct you will be fine. I'm still trying to decide if I can go that high with only 91 out here.

Edit: How high is too high for 91 oct?

thanks a lot for all the info. the only thing that i wasquestioning is the winter out here they put those damn preservetives in the gas to keep it from freezing.

what is the highest cr you can go on 93 octane ?? CTR pistons in a GS-R block ?

I heard there was a clearance issue with the CTR in gsr block ?

The northeast isn't the only place with cold winters. There are plenty of others. You'll be fine.

I have 11.5ish and on 91 octane. even untuned using the hondata basemap I had zero problems

People here in socal are going up to 12:1 with 91oct gas here. But you really shouldn't go higher than that IMO.

I would assume on a b18c1 JDM ITR pistons would suffice ?

That makes me feel a little better. I'll probably be at 11.8:1 max, tuned with Hondata.
