Default 1.5l block/ 1.6l head????

Is it possible to do this swap. What would happen if I put a 1.6l sohc non vtec head on a 1.5l block, would everything still be stock like timing belt. I need to put a head on my car and all I have laying around are 1.6l heads. I have a stock 94 civic dx with the 1.5l engine and it needs a head, so would this work? If you can help please respond. Thanks

no i dont own a shop i have like a sohc head at my house and a bunch of friends with them. I just bought this car for dirt cheap and i want to get it running before i drop the b18c1 in it. I just want to know if it is safe to put a 1.6 SOHC head on a 1.5 SOHC block, is it just a direct swap. I am thinking that it is fine just want some more opinions. Thanks alot

A swap like that would work. I think that kind of a swap would actually be a slight upgrade too! Isn't the 1.6L cam a big more lumpy than the 1.5L?

You can keep the same intake, exhaust manifold, distributor, etc. I think it's also smart and highly recommended you get a new head gasket and timing belt, might as well since everything's apart.

tight thats what i plan on doing, i think it will up the power a little so well see how it goes; if you knew how much i got the car for It would be stupid for me not to put like a 100 bucks into it, to get it running. Thanks for your help
