im pretty sure that it is NOT possible the f22 head is a lot longer than the y7 head and block so nothing would line up or be able to be machined to fit.

many people have tried to mix the series but no one has yet to do it i think. Someone tried to put a b-series head on a d block one time too haha. Bottom line...keep it all the same series...thats how it was meant to be lol

i was totally just about to say that because that is what my next build is going to be :-)

yea it all just depends how the engines are set up, size wise and everything. the G23 is one of the lucky ones where it pretty much just works :-) but then again the f23 and the h22 are both pretty similar engines as far as size, im pretty sure you can stuff k20 pistons in both of them

just wondering, are there like special mounts for the F23 on the civic? and what kind of wiring is that?

F2d, very possible, like you are talking about, not a chance in the real world. If you want to you can take the head off and glue the f22 head on there for sentimental value.

Ok, you got me on this. I forgot to mention this is like the only exception to the rule. The f and h series are a lot alike, more so than a d an b and so on. Many people do the f block and h head, however you could could just buy the dohc f22b (maybe a A cant remember, but its one of the blue tops, another way to get creative is the h23a vtec from the ealry wagons) But back to the bottom line, the f and d isnt happening

from what i have been told it would be the same mounts as if you were going b-series. then you can use the h2b kit and use a b-series trans/clutch/flywheel and drive shafts.

and i guess if you don't already you need to have vtec wired then get a chipped ecu and have it tuned for said motor. (make sure it doesn't rev too high, right map etc.)

plus k20 piston's drop in for more oem part tuning capabilites. some hodge podge honda's
