1/2" Headstud? Looking for some advice/experience
About to get ready to send the block off to the be sleeved. Would like to hear some personal input, advice, or experience.
84mm B18C, GSR Head, looking to make around 700-775 to the wheel. Car will see a lot of time at the track, as well as the frequent drive on the street. Want to avoid any potential problems popping up, found a little information on upgrading to 1/2" headstuds, but not much. Is it neccessary? Will it provide a significantly greater "cushion" area, so to speak, to keep the head from lifting?
ARP carries a 1/2" stud, 7.5" in length, and nut to match in either a 5/8" or 9/16" socket size.
All input or thought is appreciated
