I notice when my car has been sitting in a parking lot and is hot, the cruise control lights come on in the dash-without the buttons being touched. Recently, the side air bag light has started to come on too. But when these lights come on they light on and off and on and off, and then eventually stop. Is my ECU going bad?

 

a common problem at the dealerships down south is that mice get in the engine bay and start chewin up wires. check the wiring to the problem areas and see if there are any exposed areas/breaks. but i work for toyota, there might be a bulletin out for honda for ecu's and such. is it still under warranty?

 

i'm not quite sure. when i got it it was a certified used, and i got in a wreck. i heard that that voided the warranty, but i'm not 100%. i'm just afraid of my lights not working one random day if this is a serious problem.

 

well, if its been wrecked, it can also be something that whoever fixed it had missed. see if you can take it back there and tell them whats happening, and see if they can double check their work. best of luck to ya
